Emma, the founder of Performance Physio and Pilates graduated from the University of Salford in 2006. Emma began working in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and over the years has gained much experience working in private practice and with sports men and women. Due to her keen interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation, she studied for an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Emma is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and is qualified to teach Clinical Pilates on a 1:1 basis and within a class setting.
With over 15 years experience Emma has the skills to treat many groups of patients. She has spent time learning how to successfully treat young sporty children, as well as office workers, weekend warriors and those requiring input later on in life. With her background in teaching clinical Pilates and 3 children of her own Emma is experienced at helping those with pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems. Emma has been privileged to work with elite athletes across sports such as gymnastics, BMX, football and skiing and has found the experience gained whilst working with these individuals and teams has provided her with the knowledge and skills required to successfully treat sports people of all ages and abilities.
