Die Gründung des Pflegeteams Nordwind erfolgte aus der Idee, die Pflege und Betreuung schwerstkranker Menschen in einen neuen, humaneren Fokus zu rücken und ihnen ein weitgehend autonomes Leben zu ermöglichen. Nach reiflicher Überlegung und einer ausführlichen Phase der Konzeptionierung wagten die beiden Geschäftsführer Lars Wallis und Stefan Wäcken, die beide über eine fundierte Fachausbildung und sehr viel Erfahrung in der ambulanten Pflege sowie der außerklinischen Intensivpflege verfügen, schließlich im Oktober 2015 den Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit.
Schon bald wurden im gesamten Raum Ostfriesland Patienten von Fachkräften auf höchstem Niveau Zuhause versorgt.
2018 kam dann die ambulante Alten- und Krankenpflege in der Region dazu. Mit viel Herzblut und Engagement kümmern sich Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter um die Klienten.
2020 wurden 2 Seniorenwohngemeinschaften in Upgant-Schott übernommen.
Die Häuser werden „Haus Nordwind“ und „Haus Düne“ getauft.
