Founded in 1998 by Australian, Ian Burden, PGT-Reclaimed was the inventor of premium indoor lifestyle furniture made from 100% reclaimed wood, and other recycled materials.
Today, our furniture, made in Vietnam under good manufacturing practices, is sold via reputable retailers in more than 20 countries. Our vast wooden furniture collections cover bedding, dining, living, office and accessories to offer consumers a complete reclaimed lifestyle.
SUSTAINABILITY: Our furniture is made from 100% solid reclaimed wood, mainly from packing pallets to create furniture that lasts for generations. To us, sustainability is responsibility; it takes 30 years for a tree to grow, but only a minute to cut one down. At last count our processes of using reclaimed wood have saved around 600,000 trees from being cut down.
INNOVATION: In PGT-Reclaimed’s early years, our founder spent four years developing a unique technique to treat discarded timber to prevent warping and splitting. His innovation hasn’t stopped! These days, PGT-Reclaimed’s founder, Ian Burden continues to pursue creative and innovative ideas and improved methods to craft functional, beautiful furniture. Each and every design possesses our unique DNA of innovation.
CRAFTSMANSHIP: Our furniture is 100% handmade using traditional English carpentry, with a 3D surface achieved by-hand using a multi-step French polishing technique and the best non-toxic water-based finishing materials that celebrate the character of authentic reclaimed wood.
