P H Tyson & Associates was established to help people who desire to improve their communication skills by becoming a dynamic speaker. My motto is “If communication is not your top priority, then all your other priorities are at risk.” This summarizes the importance of image, message, preparation, and skills required for effective communication. Leadership depends on strong understanding and practical ability to connect and engage others through mastery of public speaking. My strength is in the classroom; I have been encouraged and reinforced by feedback from my students and session participants with comments such as “Peter makes dry and dull material exciting” and “This was the best training course I have had.” I have been told that I can teach anything—and I credit this to my two personal objectives for each time I speak in public. First, I want to ensure that no one is bored. I do this by engaging the audience with natural conversation and bringing passion and enthusiasm to everything I say. Secondly, I desire above all that everyone leaves with something of value – that they walk out of the room with increased knowledge, increased ability, and increased appreciation for the how? the what? and most importantly the why? behind the things that we do.
