Pi turns your classroom into a community. Pi is a simple solution to save professors (and their TAs) time, and get more classroom engagement. We're focusing on the following things:
1) Mobile solutions. Will be an Android/iOS app. You should be able to talk to your class from anywhere.
2) Replacing slow email communication. One place where everyone can communicate. Push notifications for every post.
Ex: You have a classroom announcement you want to make; you can now simply pull out your phone (or go on the website), and make a post. Everyone in the class is sent a push notification to their phones, as well as an email for that post. Same to students, they have a question, they pull out their phone & ask the class/professor, everyone gets a push notification and an email.
3) Ease of setup. We know professors are used to heavy software that have tutorials and are hard to learn. This will be easier than Facebook to use. We also have 24/7 support, this should save time from your day, not add to it.
