Platform Frans is een samenwerkingsverband tussen de Stichting van Romanisten aan Nederlandse Universiteiten (SRNU) en het Kenniscentrum Frankrijk-Nederland (KFN). Beide organisaties zijn ontstaan vanuit de universitaire opleidingen Frans. Zij organiseren congressen en nascholingen voor docenten, tolken/vertalers en andere geïnteresseerden. Ook zetten zij zich actief in voor het behoud en de versterking van het onderwijs in de Franse taal.
Platform Frans vervult in de eerste plaats een netwerkfunctie voor mensen die zich professioneel met de Franse taal of de Franstalige wereld bezighouden. Belangstellenden kunnen zich kosteloos aanmelden als lid. Daarnaast wil Platform Frans fungeren als vraagbaak voor de media of andere organisaties die behoefte hebben aan expertise op dit terrein.
