Youth Center Platform is an association of NGOs for the independent cultural scene and the youth scene. Youth Center Platform acts as an advocacy platform at the local level and it has been operating since 2012, first as an informal initiative, and then, since 2015 as a formal association. The Platform works on the development of non-institutional culture, art and the youth sector through advocacy, empowerment, research and activism and it does that by cooperating with a number of local, national and international NGOs, artistic organizations, associations of NGOs and other local and regional government units and other relevant institutions in the field of culture, arts and the youth sector.
Activities carried out by the Platform - gathered around the Youth Center as the only space in Split run by a cultural institution, which is also a "home" to the independent scene - lead to the Youth Center as an advanced cultural center that brings organizations and individuals by continuously creating activities that ensure education, production and presentation of contemporary art and culture in Split, Dalmatia and beyond.
