*Though our name is new, our history dates back to 1999, when Rob Penn founded Suddenly Smart to make Flash eLearning development faster and easier. With backing from three Fortune 100 clients, Suddenly Smart launched the SmartBuilder authoring tool, which featured rich templates for eLearning development. In 2011, SmartBuilder Consulting Services was formed to help clients who wanted to created performance-focused eLearning but lacked the resources or expertise to develop it in-house. In 2020, the team was re-branded to better represent the wide range of tools and solutions we now offer.
