Pop Damage is not just a review site. Sure we do reviews, but as you so aptly pointed out, there are lots of other review sites. Well then, what exactly is Pop Damage? To be honest, we don’t fully know yet. What we do know is that we love a lot of the things our culture has to offer. We love the entertainment, the music, the books, the movies–so much about the glamorous ephemera that our culture produces.
It is our aim to sift through the detritus of our culture, which admittedly has much that is of little to no value, seeking nuggets of truth that can uplift and enlighten, culture that is for us not against us.
Not every malcontented singer-songwriter with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove is looking out for the good of society, and not every seemingly vapid pop-diva is inadvertently bringing about its destruction. Somewhere, mixed in with the detritus and rubble, amidst all the damage dealt us by all that is pop, there is a balm, a healing salve co-mingled with but separable from the wreckage. It is our mission to find that which salves our wounds in popular culture wherever we can and share that salve with you, the reader, whenever possible.
