Founded in the early eighties by the Botswana Development Corporation, BOCEM, now known as PPC was established to stimulate industrial development in Botswana through the manufacturing and distribution of cement.
For this purpose, a deposit of limestone was identified at Naka-la-Phala, between Palapye and Serowe and measures were put in place to exploit this area.
Early in our history we learnt that a strong business is an amalgamation of strong relationships. Therefore, in the late 90’s BDC entered into partnership with South Arica’s Pretoria Portland Cement Company (PPC) to undertake this project.
Due to market penetration challenges and unfavorable economic factors, we started with blending and packaging cement for the Gaborone region only. Today with our rich experience, we have been able to broaden our horizons and now dominate the local market and supply most parts of Botswana. Our product range is extensive and serves both small scale builders and large manufacturing companies and caters for different application needs.
With our outstanding track record and experience we pride ourselves in community upliftment projects and quality guaranteed cement products respectively.
