Het Preuvenemint is het grootste eetfestijn van Nederland, dat al sinds 30 jaar ieder jaar in de laatste week van augustus wordt georganiseerd op het Vrijthof in Maastricht. De naam Preuvenemint is een samenvoeging van de Maastrichtse woorden preuve (proeven) en evenemint (evenement).
Ongeveer dertig restaurants, cateraars en derden bieden tijdens het Preuvenemint de mogelijkheid tot preuven van verschillende soorten producten. Het gaat hierbij dan om alledaagse producten als saté, stokbroodjes, tot een prachtig aanbod aan exclusieve gerechten zoals bijvoorbeeld tarbot, kreeft en exotische lekkernijen. Ook worden er mooie wijnen en een uitstekend verzorgd glas bier geschonken.
Tijdens het Preuvemint vinden er ook optredens van artiesten plaats op het Vrijthof. Tussen de stands van de restaurateurs zijn er een aantal 'biertenten' waar het publiek drank kan bestellen. Deze biertenten worden veelal bemensd door leden van Maastrichtse verenigingen.
Het Preuvenemint trekt ieder jaar meer dan 100.000 bezoekers. Op het Preuvenemint wordt niet betaald met euro's maar met Preuvenelappen die ontworpen werden door studenten grafische vormgeving van de Academie Beeldende Kunsten Maastricht. Van de opbrengst van deze Preuvenelappen gaat ieder jaar een gedeelte naar een goed doel.
