Profisol SA was founded in the 1960s and under the guidance of its owner, Solomon Kapetas, grew to be one of the biggest steel pipe industries in Greece. In 2016, Profisol SA merged with Thebes Pipeworks and combined the two factories by installing Thebes pipelines into the production factory of the Profisol SA plant in Inofita.
Specifically, two pipelines and one slitter, as this allowed for a more diverse range of production to be achieved. At the current Profisol SA plant, machines were upgraded in addition to the building structures being reinforced. New cranes, a total of 12, were installed to carry up to 25 tons.
Currently, there are a total of 4 pipe lines housed at the Profisol SA manufacturing plant. The production range for round pipes is from 19 mm up to 168 mm and square pipes from 20X20 up to 120x120. There are also two slitters with the capability of 0.5 mm thickness up to 8 mm thickness
For the last six years, the 3rd generation has taken over Profisol S.A. ,building on what this generation has learned from their grandfather, the successful navigation of the Greek steel industry is being undertaken with care and pride.
