Random Opera Company is a new opera company based in Warwickshire, giving amateur singers the opportunity to perform engaging and challenging operatic repertoire.
Recognising the wealth of talent that is to be found locally, founder Richard Jones decided to create a new company to give talented amateurs and those preparing for a career on the stage the opportunity to perform full operatic roles.
Random Opera Company has an ethos of supportive professionalism; ensuring that high standards are maintained whilst allowing performers and members of the artistic team the opportunity to develop and grow.
There is no regular company of singers, and all casting for main productions will take place by open audition before an independent panel. This is to ensure that there is no preferential treatment for or against regular performers, and to demonstrate our commitment to achieving the highest possible standard of performance.
Wherever possible, the company will engage professionals and experienced non-professionals to work as mentors to the company.
In order to support the development of local singers, Random Opera Company arranges recitals, concerts and galas, to provide additional opportunities to perform. Performers for these events are arranged by invitation. If you would like to be considered for a future performance, please contact the company.
