Sugar is everywhere in our lives. It’s amazing to see that at every turn sugar creeps into the food chain, even a simple salad is often loaded with sugar, via the salad dressing. Probably one of the biggest intakes of sugar for most people is in beverages. Just looking through the non-alcoholic drinks menu at a restaurant, one is confronted with fruit juices, carbonated beverages, milkshakes and water. Most of these are loaded with sugar, as much as 35 grams which is seven of the small sachets of sugar. Aside from water, which many of us really did not go out to drink water, what other choice is there?
Hence the concept of a sugar free ice tea was born, one that has a great taste but without the sugar. The addition of Rooibos tea leaves as the tea blend, which naturally contains no caffeine, thus providing a refreshing drink with a host of added health benefits.
Real-T offers a range of four flavours (lemon, peach, apple and berry), all sweetened naturally with erythritol.
