Our aim is to promote regenerative design that will focus on dealing with our climate crisis.
I am delighted to announce the launch of our Third Year Architecture Studio - #ReGENBeyondNetZero which addresses Climate Resilience – Regenerative NetZ-WLC – Biodiversity in a 'live' regenerative project with #SwindonBoroughCouncil involving urban planners #PeterGaritsis and #ThomasSale. The Motto for Swindon ' Salubritas et Industria - Health and Industry' - The students will create a joint vision for a 'Salubritas - Living Well Quarter' and explore diverse design solutions for Retrofit and sustainable Transformation and adaptive reuse of the existing buildings, maximise reuse & recycling of existing materials and, or new solutions using bio-based locally sourced materials. The students will choose their own site within the designated neighbourhood block along Commercial Road. The project has strong community engagement and explores ways to integrate and enhance the local business owners with new opportunities to co-design a thriving Living Well Quarter. ~ Aoife Houlihan Wiberg
