Relief-tutkimushankkeessa tutkitaan tieteidenvälisesti oikeusjärjestelmän roolia ja vaikutuksia oikeudenmukaisen kestävyysmurroksen toteutumisessa. Hankkeessa selvennetään julkisen vallan ja yksityisten toimijoiden toimintamahdollisuuksia kestävyysmurroksessa ja tuotetaan menetelmällinen työkalupakki oikeudellisen sääntelyn ja eri toimijoiden roolien ja vaikutusten arvioimiseksi.
Hankkeen konsortioon kuuluu tutkijoita Itä-Suomen yliopistosta, Suomen ympäristökeskuksesta, Aalto-yliopistosta ja Vaasan yliopistosta.
Relief-hanke on saanut rahoitusta strategisen tutkimuksen neuvostolta, joka toimii Suomen Akatemian yhteydessä.
The Relief research project focuses on the interdisciplinary analysis of the role and impact of legal systems on sustainability transformation. The project seeks to clarify the roles of public authorities and private actors in sustainability transformation and produces a methodical toolkit for evaluating the impact of legal systems on the said transformation.
The consortium brings together researchers from the University of Eastern Finland, Finnish Environment Institute, Aalto University and University of Vaasa.
Relief project is funded by the Strategic Research Council (SRC) established within the Research Council of Finland.
