About Us:
RememberUs.org was founded in late 2013 by a group of Ukrainian-Americans. Over the course of eight years, we have developed deep roots in Ukraine and have connectivity across the country - particularly in war zone areas.
As of early 2025, we have helped 155,000+ families receive critical humanitarian aid – including food, medicine, medical items, hygienic supplies, and more. We have also financially sponsored 2,500 families, providing them direct financial support to sustain themselves for one month.
Some of our initiatives:
- Our volunteers travel to war-torn areas to hand deliver food, medicine, and hygienic products. Donor recipients are vulnerable demographics: families living in poverty, children with disabilities, elderly people, families displaced by war, single mothers, and more. We deliver items directly into the hands and homes of people
- We support procurement and distribution of medical supplies and medicine to hospitals in eastern Ukraine, to treat those hurt and injured in the war
- We partner with Ukrainian farmers to grow and preserve healthy and high calorie foods, to be distributed to families in need in the winter
- We have supported dozens of orphanages financially (and in other ways, such as buying shoes for children whose feet have grown throughout the course of the war)
- We create “back to school kits” for students across various communities in east Ukraine– backpacks, pencils, books, calculators and more, to set the next generation up for success
