In 2016, 39,782 people were diagnosed with HIV infection in the US and about 675,000 people have died of AIDS since the beginning of the HIV epidemic. An estimated 1.8 million individuals worldwide became newly infected with HIV in 2016 – about 5,000 new infections per day. So far, the total number of people who have died from AIDS-related illnesses since the start of the epidemic is about 35 million. We are determined to fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS and other STIs through Charitable activities, sustained aggressive public sensitization, enlightenment and behavior change campaigns, and to also provide assistance, support, and care to those already living with the virus. The reasons why HIV/AIDS remain a worldwide threat are ignorance and stigma. Ignorance: people just do not know much about HIV/AIDS. Stigma: the shame attached to HIV/AIDS makes it next to impossible for many people to even go for a test. The fact that over 40% of infected people worldwide and about 15% in the US do not know their status buttresses this fact. That's why HARE (HIV/AIDS Awareness REvolution) was born to tackle HIV/AIDS head-on with sustained energy. Goal: Eradicate HIV/AIDS by identifying those infected, providing them with all education and assistance to stop the spread, and inform and educate those who are not infected. Objectives: Within the first year of operations, over 50,000,000 Americans will receive our sustained enlightenment and educational programs. 100,000 Americans will get free in-home test kits.
