RidePal is a project of our soon-to-be company that uses technology to make bicycles helmets safe and cool at the same time. What problem do we solve? Okay so everyone as kids wanted to ride bicycles to have fun with friends, or if you are an adult you’re just looking to use it as transportation to get somewhere and be healthier at the same time, but in a large city like ours we don’t have a place to ride them without greatly risking our lives and we found just the reason that makes it so risky and solved it through What is the solution? Of course, we can’t make a driver safe if they crash, but what we can do is prevent it. The solution comes with a very easy question. What do car systems have that prevent accidents? Yes, and that is the communication system, the left-right signal system to inform the drivers you are about to take a turn, and the slowing down signals that informs the drivers with a red light that the car is slowing down and so should you. We implemented that whole system in a helmet that uses the language every traffic driver is familiar with. Also as shown in the study that we mentioned earlier the other causing problem is that the cyclist is not visible in the dark, and our helmet offers visibility at night so they can make their presence known to the traffic even in the dark without any street lights.
