Amidst the climate crisis, the Rising Nations Initiative aims at protecting the statehood of Pacific Atoll countries, preserving their sovereignty and safeguarding the rights and heritage of affected populations.
Led by Member States-led and guided by a core group of champions, including Pacific Atoll countries: Tuvalu, Marshall Islands and Kiribati; it is supported by a wide range of stakeholders from international & regional organizations, academia, philanthropy, civil society and the private sector.
Launched by the Heads of States of Tuvalu, the Marshall Islands and Kiribati in September 2021 and enabled by the Global Center for Climate Mobility.
