What started as a transportation company dedicated to provide best-in-class services to cater to the needs of construction industry in 1961, Rkorp is a family run group of companies established by Lt Mr Rameshchandra Patni. After it’s inauguration in the small town of Vadodara in Gujarat, India, the company has since diversified it’s services in different sectors across the globe over the last 60+ years. From transporting cement and steel products used for building, the company extended it’s services in crude oil transportation to and from government refineries by adding tankers in their existing fleet in the late 1960s, expanding it’s operations across the state of Gujarat.
In 1991, the company moved base to Mumbai, India when the 2nd generation of family joined business. Under the leadership of Mr Harikrishna Patni, the company experienced 10 fold growth, expanding operations across the nation. His resilience and vision gave rise to Jayesh Transport, a subsidiary under Rkorp, branching out services in transportation of bitumen and other bituminous products in 1990s and further branching out in transporting LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) by adding capsule tanks in their existing fleet. To meet the increasing demand in business, the company acquired over RJ Carriers, another well-established transportation firm in Mumbai. In 2019, the company expanded services and opened a vehicle repair and maintenance workshop to meet in-house as well as external vehicle maintenance needs.
In 2020, when the world was hit with a global pandemic, the company decided to explore opportunities in the Canadian and European markets respectively. Which has successfully lead the company to position itself in the Irish and UK markets, providing freight forwarding and customs clearance services to its customers in the region, with an aim to expand services across Europe.
