RoboKarts is een evenement waarbij interfacultaire studenten teams radiografisch bestuurbare autootjes ontwerpen, bouwen en tegen elkaar gaan racen. De zelfgemaakte robot-karts zullen een parcours afleggen waarbij hindernissen worden overwonnen en tegenstanders gesaboteerd. De karts mogen beuken, trekken, springen, flippen en materiaal achterlaten, maar ook de baan zal uitdagingen bieden. Denk aan obstakels in de vorm van een stoot van opzij, glade ondergrond en ontwijken van obstakels. Het zal een wedstrijd worden zoals Mario kart, maar dan in real life. In de aanloop naar de wedstrijd zijn er “borrel colleges” georganiseerd, waar professoren en bedrijven een college hebben gegeven om inspiratie op te doen en feedback krijgen.
Woensdag 30 mei zullen de teams de strijd aangaan in het Mekelpark op de TU Delft Campus. Komt allen kijken naar deze legendarische race!
