De Rotary Club Zuidplas is in 1976 aanvankelijk opgericht als Rotary Club Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel en maakt onderdeel uit van de wereldwijde organisatie Rotary International. Op 14 mei 2015 is besloten de naam aan te passen aan de nieuwe gemeentenaam Zuidplas, ontstaan uit een fusie van de gemeenten Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Zevenhuizen-Moerkapelle, Moordrecht en Oud Verlaat.
Rotary Club Zuidplas bestaat uit een actieve Club professionals waarbij naast het organiseren en ondersteunen van lokale, regionale en internationale activiteiten voor de gemeenschap ook teamspirit en gezelligheid erg belangrijk zijn.
Onze Club komt wekelijks bijeen op de woensdagavond bij Muller & Co.
