RotterJam - a student-led social venture 🤝
At RotterJam, we believe that everyone deserves to feel connected and valued, regardless of their age. That's why we've created a unique social enterprise that brings together lonely older adults and students from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Our team is made up of passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. We believe that loneliness is a serious problem that can have detrimental effects on an individual's physical and mental health, and we're determined to do something about it.
So, how do we jam? By producing and selling delicious, locally-made jam. We work closely with a local factory to create the jam, using only the freshest ingredients. We then sell our jam at stores, markets, and events across Rotterdam, with all proceeds going towards organizing events and activities for the elderly.
Our events are designed to be fun, engaging, and inclusive, giving the elderly the opportunity to socialize, make new friends, and participate in activities that they enjoy. From art classes to cooking sessions, there's something for everyone.
But it's not just about organizing events. We also want to raise awareness about the issue of loneliness and the importance of social connections. By purchasing our jam, you're not just buying a tasty treat, you're also supporting a cause that is close to our hearts.
