Round Sky Studios is a boutique design studios with eyes on the ever-changing skies that is the future of the internet - the 3rd World-Wide-Web. Named after the Ancient Chinese view of the world and universe of 天圆地方 (Tiān Yuán Dì Fāng or Round Sky Square Earth), we are focused on designing products that lie within the world of distributed-computing, blockchain, cryptoassets, cryptoeconomics, and cryptosystems. We are rooted in our beliefs that the internet as it is today is only in its intermediary form. The Web 2.0 as it's properly entitled is at its core: inequitable. Being dominated by cognitive and connected computing or artificial intelligence and the internet of things respectively is inequitable, this form of the internet requires a third to complete the triune puzzle. This puzzle is otherwise known as the 4th Industrial Revolution and this third piece is the world of distributed computing. Altogether, this Industry 4.0 is comprised of what we call the "Computing Trinity". Ever since the first Dot Com Bubble however this puzzle has been incomplete being dominated by centralized applications where the data is concentrated in the hands of a few. This time period gave birth to cloud computing (two-thirds of the Computing Trinity) and in doing so - the business model known as Software-as-a-Service. And it was at this time that we saw the birth of "Move Fast Break Things in the 2010's. One might think though that this mentality/mindset died in recent years given the enlightenment of its negative effects on society vis-a-vis Big Tech's strangle-hold on society. However, this attitude of "Move Fast, Break Things" has remained steadfast for many and especially seen a resurgence within the Web 3.0 world. This is why Round Sky Studios exists - we believe that though the tech world may be constantly changing as the sun, moon, and stars are in the round skies above, the good earth that we stand upon represents the steadfast principles we practice in our work.
