Royan Institute was envisioned in 2010 by a few brave, young and digitally savvy entrepreneurs to bring MENA digital games and smartphone utilization to the global stage. Royan was formed officially in 2014 after developing successful games and apps for the fast-growing mobile industry in the region and in 2015 became a global entity by partnering with a number of globally connected nationals to expand its footprint with specific attention to mobile operators in UAE and Iran, three of the most digitally connected countries with affluent and sophisticated users in the region.
A key focus area of Royan is:
transformation of globally successful games to match the regional taste, customs, and desires to better serve the young and hungry smartphone users in MENA through a partnership with mobile service providers. With successful examples, we have shown that modifying games for regional customers has significantly increased its user base and downloads which has increased its value and income many folds. This strategy has improved Royan's reach and user base and has resulted in digital ad purchases by partner companies looking to reach the target demography and audience.
