राजस्थान के दक्षिण भाग में रह रहे आदिवासियों के विकास एवं कल्याण के लिये वर्ष 1976 में सहकारी अधिनियम 1965 के अधीन एक राज्य स्तरीय शीर्ष संस्था के रूप में पंजीकृत कराकर राजससंघ की स्थापना की गयी। एक वर्ष बाद ही सहरिया परियोजना क्षेत्र को भी कार्यक्षेत्र में सम्मिलित किया गया। जनजाति उपयोजना क्षेत्र की 53 एवं सहरिया क्षेेत्र की 2 कुल 55 पंचायत समितियाँं, तहसील क्षेत्रों में राजससंघ निम्नांकित उद्धेश्यों की पूर्ति के लिये कार्यरत हैं।
1 संघ की सदस्य सहकारी संस्थाओं के क्रिया-कलापों को संगठित एवं समन्वित कर सहकारी तंत्र को मजबूत करना।
2 कार्यक्षेत्र में अवसंरचना को विकसित करना तथा सहकारी संगठनों के माध्यम से जनजाति व्यक्तियों के लिये कल्याण कार्यक्रमों का संचालन एवं राजकीय/शीर्ष सहकारी संस्थाओं की योजनाओं का क्रियान्वयन करना।
3 जनजाति के व्यक्तियों को उनकी उपज का प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक मूल्य दिलाकर उनके आर्थिक हितों की रक्षा सुनिश्चित करना।
4 जनजाति युवक-युवतियों के लिए रोजगार सृजन हेतु प्रशिक्षण, ऋण एवं अनुदान दिलाकर उनकी सेवा उत्पादों के विपणन हेतु आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध कराना।
5 कृषि उपजों/लघु वन उपजों का क्रय विक्रय, प्रसंस्करण, विपणन इत्यादि कार्य करना।
