Ruby Tuesday Books began publishing for children from Early Years to Young Adults in 2013. Our books are predominantly non-fiction (for use at home and in schools) and are carefully crafted to engage and inspire young readers. Many of our titles are written by the company’s co-owner and award-winning author, Ruth Owen. As Ruby Tuesday’s list grows, our vision of creating exceptionally well-designed, beautiful books, filled with the most up-to-date information, is being realised.
From book-banded reading books for early readers to high-interest curriculum-linked science books packed with experiments and investigations (including titles about hot topics such as plastic pollution), we aim to provide children with the knowledge and tools to achieve literacy and learning goals throughout their educational careers.
Our future publishing will continue to include many strong, non-fiction series, but in future Ruby Tuesday’s list will not be limited to this genre. Forthcoming titles include a highly-anticipated picture book series Fred & Woody’s Fantastic World by author and illustrator Alex Waldron. This series will help teach young children about their bodies, bereavement and LGBTQ+ families. Our new publishing will also include Centauri a dramatic, six-part, science-fiction series for teenagers who are reluctant readers or have learning difficulties.
As a growing company, we are always on the look out for new opportunities and the chance to work with talented writers and artists. As Ruby Tuesday has grown, our company has benefited greatly from bringing on board flexible workers with a real passion for the publishing industry and education. We endeavour to communicate with teachers and parents throughout our publishing process to ensure we are providing the best books the market has to offer.
