Rebels Without A Pause are an independent news and documentary production company based in the UK. We are redefining the way people engage with factual content. We cover social, political and cultural topics through a varied mix of productions, from short news reports through to feature length films. As part of our commitment to create a more democratic media landscape, we provide training for aspiring journalists working with us as well as delivering education packages that cover basic journalist practices and critically evaluating factual media content. Our aim to move away from the limitations of traditional, advertiser led media and into a supporter led organisation, where our supporters have access and ability to be a part of the development of Rebels Without A Pause and its content. Rebels Without A Pause (RWAP) is committed to democratising the way people engage with news and documentary media. We achieve this by committing to using media production and distribution as a tool for highlighting social, political, economic and identity struggles as well as promoting active, innovative and progressive movements and solutions. To challenge under-representation in multimedia content production, we aim to create a more diverse media industry by initiating spaces and platforms for individuals from all backgrounds and communities; with a strong focus on training and education to inspire access to journalism for future generations. We also aspire to commit ourselves to original, accountable and ethical quality journalism; investigating, exploring and sharing the stories and experiences of those most affected by global, national and regional issues and their impact on ecosystems, communities and individuals. Ultimately, we hope to create an alternative to the biases and limitations of corporate media, and to identify a more democratic media model through supporter-led reporting, mentoring, training and public engagement.
