در حال حاضر این موسسه به موازات رسالت پژوهشی خود، به آموزش و توانمندسازی نیروی انسانی زنجیره تأمین صنعت خودرو اهتمام دارد و در قالب آموزشهای سیستم جامع ارزیابی سازندگان و برگزاری آموزشهای تخصصی و مهارتی، علاوه بر رفع ایرادات احتمالی شركتهای قطعه ساز داخلی در زمینه دستیابی به درجات عالی تر در ارزیابی های شركت ساپكو ، آنان را یاری می رساند.
این موسسه به عنوان حلقه ارتباطی بین صنعت و دانشگاه، در بخش پژوهش های كاربردی نیز با بهره مندی از امكانات آموزشی و پژوهشی دانشگاه های مادر ، سعی در ارائه راهكارهای علمی به منظور رفع عیوب قطعات و مجموعه های تولیدی خودرو در قالب ماژولهای خودروئی دارد.
ضمناً ، علاوه بر انجام تحقیقات مشترك در نظر دارد پایان نامه ها و رساله های دانشجویی مقاطع كارشناسی ارشد و دكتری را در قالب پروژه های اینترانشیپ در جهت رفع موانع و مشكلات صنعت خودروسازی بكار گرفته و عملاً الگوی موفق از تعامل بین صنعت و دانشگاه ارائه نماید.
