UNITECH Salmo Solar is a joint project between Bremnes Seashore AS, UNITECH Offshore AS, and partners. Salmo Solar opens a new area of fish farming in Norway and all over the world.
The Salmo Solar is made for significant wave heights up to 8 m and can harvest all the energy needed for large scale seafood production and more. In fact, the Salmo Solar is also an “Energy Station” for everyone focused on running on renewable energy and travels the ocean on or under the surface. The Design is based upon the best knowledge, technologies and experience from the harsh environment of the Norwegian Coastline. The entire design is made of flexible materials well known within the maritime environment. The Salmo Solar contains all infrastructure needed for efficient fish farming, including feed systems, silos and control rooms. This makes each unit self-dependent with the ability to stay in open sea and operate from its own energy supply.
Salmo Solar is a cost efficient solution for large scale fish farming built upon the long traditions of the most successful fish farming industry in the world, Norwegian Salmon Farmers.
The entire system is made of a number of modules and can be customized for each location depending upon technology needed, energy systems, weather condition and more.
