In Yogacentrum Bunnik bied ik cursussen aan in Trauma Informed Yoga. Dit is een yogamodel wat speciaal is ontwikkeld voor mensen met PTSS en complexe trauma. Mensen met ernstig trauma kunnen kampen met allerlei spanningsgerelateerde klachten omdat het lichaam in een continue vecht, vlucht of bevriesmodus zit. Dit yogamodel kan onder andere helpen om meer in het hier en nu te zijn, zelfstandige keuzes leren maken, te leren spieren te spannen en ontspannen, contact te maken met je fysieke lichaam en het gevoel van autonomie vergroten.
Daarnaast bied ik wekelijkse Vinyasa yogalessen aan. Vinyasa Yoga legt de nadruk op het creëren van vloeiende overgangen tussen asana's (houdingen). Het is een dynamische vorm van yoga, waarbij elke beweging wordt ondersteund door de ademhaling. Hierdoor ontstaat er een bijna continue flow aan beweging, gesynchroniseerd met de ademhaling. Omdat de houdingen en overgangen met aandacht worden gedaan zijn de lessen meditatief van aard: er is ruimte om naar binnen te keren, te ervaren wat je voelt en te bewegen op de manier die op dat moment voor jou goed voelt.
