Op 6 juli 2018 ging “Wubbo's last words: Save the Earth!” in première in het Zuiderstrandtheater in Den Haag, met o.a. Jörgen Raymann (hoofdrol), en Bert Heerink. Een inspirerende en optimistische theatershow over één van de grootste helden in de Nederlandse geschiedenis, zijn missie en het redden van de Aarde. Joos Ockels: “Een theatershow ter ere van Wubbo, het kan niet beter. Want hij hield van muziek maar wist ook: als je mensen echt wilt raken moet het niet alleen met feiten en cijfers, maar met emotie.”Joos gaat,” aldus zijn weduwe, die ook na het overlijden van Wubbo onvermoeibaar verder gaat met het verspreiden van het gedachtengoed van haar man. De opbrengst van de theatershow ging naar Stichting Happy Energy en de Plastic Soup Foundation.
