SAYATNA is a non-profit; Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is registered voluntary and charitable organization for education of children’s living in slum areas. Our mission is to serve poor & Under-Privileged Children in Delhi and NCR. SAYANTA is a non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act (XII) of 1860. SAYATNA works especially for the welfare of people who have one or more severe disabilities and those who are further worsened by poverty, stress and other factors. SAYATNA, provides a platform to such people to enable self sufficient in all actvities of living and supports them to be a part of society in every way. Children are the most sensitive and vulnerable section of the society. More Often than not, this section is ignored and many time exploited due to poverty and unfavourable circumstances. SAYATNA is a sincere effort towards their social acceptance and helping them to enhance their skills to make them earn a better living and status in society. The funds so generated are not only used for these needy children but are also used to launch awareness drives for female child. Our mission also includes steps for the social economic, cultural and intellectual development and awareness implementation and also rehabilitation program for disabled widows and deprived women. Our vision as a non-profit is to help the orphans and the poor children. Our objectives is to provide shelter, school supplies, teaching, educational and other materials for recreation and others. We admit children falling into the following categories: 1) Children who have lost at least one parent 2) Children from poverty-stricken families 3) Children of physically/mentally challenged parents 4) Children of families ravaged by HIV/AIDS 5) Children of sex workers.
