S.B. Helios (Studenten Badminton Helios), een badmintonvereniging voor en door studenten!
S.B. Helios is de enige echte studenten badmintonvereniging in Utrecht waarbij sportiviteit en gezelligheid hoog in het vaandel staan. De club is opgericht te 1 september 1998. Bij deze oprichting fuseerden twee voormalige badmintonclubs, te noemen de Federale Interne Competitie Badminton (FIKB) en Badminton Club Utrechtse Studentensport (BC USS). Nieuwe leden vallen volgens hun eigen zeggen in een ‘warm bad’ als ze bij de vereniging komen. Iedereen is welkom en doet mee: of je nu net begint met badmintonnen of dat je op nationaal niveau speelt.
Het bestuur van de club regelt de dagelijkse gang van zaken en zorg voor continuïteit van de club. Binnen het bestuur worden een vijftal functies bekleed, in het jaar 2020-2021 te noemen:

- Penningmeester: Wicorel van der Pol
- Competitieleider: Remijn te Brake
- Evenementen & PR: Nicolas Everaars
De club is gevestigd op sportcentrum Olympos te Utrecht. Drie keer per week wordt hier vrij gespeeld en getraind voor de voorjaars- en najaarscompetitie in 12 verschillende teams variërend van RAB Z-klasse tot en met 4e divisie teams. Verder zijn er veel actieve leden binnen de vereniging die met grote regelmaat activiteiten organiseren in uiteenlopende commissies. Zo wordt er elk jaar het ISBT (International Student Badminton Tournament) georganiseerd waaraan spelers van zowel binnen als buitenland kunnen deelnemen. Dit badmintontoernooi is een jaarlijks terugkerend evenement, waarbij gezelligheid voorop staat.
S.B. Helios is een studentensportvereniging en daarmee onderdeel van Team Utrecht.
