Der Schlittschuhclub Bern (SC Bern) ist mit 16 Meisterschaftstiteln einer der erfolgreichsten Eishockeyclubs der Schweiz. Die ersten Jahrzehnte trug der SCB seine Heimspiele im Berner Kirchenfeldquartier aus, ab 1933 auf der noch heute existierenden Kunsteisbahn Ka-We-De. 1967 zog der Club ins neu erbaute Allmend-Stadion um, das den Grundstein für die heutige PostFinance-Arena mit einer Kapazität von 17.031 Zuschauern legte.
Zentrale Bestandteile im Kosmos des SCB sind die SCB Future AG, eine eigene Nachwuchsakademie, in der rund 250 Talente im Alter von 5 bis 20 Jahren gefördert werden, sowie die Sportgastro AG. Diese deckt nicht nur das gesamte Gastronomie-Angebot in der PostFinance-Arena ab, sondern betreibt auch mehrere Spezialitäten-Restaurants und bietet gastronomische Dienstleistungen in Bern und Umgebung an.
