Die 1718 errichtete Schwemme-Brauerei gehört zu den bedeutendsten noch erhaltenen Zeugnissen der historischen Klaustorvorstadt in Halle (Saale). Der geschützte Fachwerkbau ist aufgrund seines hohen denkmalpflegerischen Wertes, seiner baulichen Anlage und seiner zentralen Lage am Fluss ein inspirierender Ort von außerordentlicher Ausstrahlung.
Der Schwemme e.V. hat die historische Schwemme-Brauerei gekauft. Mit viel Engagement und mit Hilfe von Spenden wird das Gebäude nun Schritt für Schritt denkmalgerecht saniert und bereits vielfältig bespielt. Dazu hat sich 2023 ein Förderverein gegründet. Unser Ziel: Das Denkmal gemeinsam retten und der Kunst- und Kulturszene Halles dauerhaft zugänglich machen und ein Kompetenzzentrum für Lehmbau aufbauen.
