Bij Scouting denkt men soms aan broeken met kwastjes en een knoop in je zakdoek voor een goede daad. Niets is echter minder waar. Scouting Hubertus-Brandaan is een eigentijdse vereniging, die kinderen en jongeren een leuke vrije tijd biedt. Indoor- en outdoor-activiteiten op en rond het water vormen de hoofdmoot.
Scouting Hubertus-Brandaan is een vereniging voor kinderen vanaf vier jaar oud en heeft een gevarieerd aanbod aan activiteiten, afgestemd op de leeftijd van de kinderen.
Hubertus-Brandaan is een eigentijdse vereniging met een breed scala aan indoor- en outdooractiviteiten. In het park, op het water en rondom ons mooie clubgebouw.
De groep is gehuisvest in een prachtig pand langs de Vliet, aan het Oosteinde 144 in Voorburg. Een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor alle activiteiten.
In tegenstelling tot veel andere scoutinggroepen in de regio is bij de Hubertus-Brandaan van het traditionele scoutinguniform geen sprake. Een blauwe sweater en T-shirt vormen het visuele kenmerk.
Zowel de van origine Voorburgse ‘padvinderij’ Sint Hubertus als de Haagse Brandaan-groep zijn opgericht in de vroege jaren dertig van de vorige eeuw. In 1989 hebben de twee groepen elkaar gevonden en een fusie was het resultaat: Scouting Hubertus-Brandaan. In 2024 vieren we alweer het 90-jarig jubileum en zijn we 35 jaar samen!
