Scouting Oosterhof-Niej Begin te Rijssen is een scoutinggroep met ruim 210 leden en zo’n 70 kaderleden. De groep is niet meer weg te denken uit de Rijssense samenleving.
Scouting Rijssen bestond tot 2002 uit twee groepen; Scouting Oosterhof voor jongens en Scouting Niej Begin voor meisjes. De beide groepen waren al een lange tijd actief. De Oosterhofgroep al vanaf 1950 en Niej Begin vanaf 1973. In 2002 zijn beide groepen gefuseerd tot een grote nieuwe groep. In 2017 is blokhut Niej Begin verkocht aan het Leemspoor en draaien we al onze opkomsten in blokhut ’t Oosterhöfke in het Schwarzwald.
We hebben nu 10 speltakken, namelijk een bevergroep (jongens en meisjes t/m 7 jaar), twee welpenhordes (jongens van 7 t/m 10 jaar), een kabouterkring (meisjes van 7 t/m 10 jaar), twee verkennerstroepen (jongens van 11 t/m 14 jaar), 1 padvindstersvaandel (meisjes 11 t/m 14 jaar), een Rowan/sherpa afdeling (jongens en meisjes van 15 t/m 17 jaar) de stam (18+, gemengd) en de Plus Scouts.
