SeaTV is television about seafaring. The programs are about aspects of the life of seafarers at merchant navy vessels, cruise ships and fishing trawlers. It is a magazine about health, family life, technology, art, entertainment, recreation legal assistance and spirituality.
SeaTV can be watched on board. Free DVD-discs are available at seafarers centres in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Durban, London, New York, Rotterdam, Singapore and many other stations.

Beside a television program, the discs contain a database. A port directory, presentations of seafarers welfare organisations and other kind of information can be found when the disc is put into a computer.
Every new episode will contain updated information.
SeaTV wants to offer a platform on which information can be shared. This way isolation, one of the main problems of seafarers, can be reduced. SeaTV wants to stimulate in depth thinking and conversation on board and show seafarers that and how they are cared.
SeaTV was initiated in 2006, A successful pilot showed that it is a way to improve the understanding between seafarers, shipping agents, seafarers unions, ship owners and seafarers families.
