Sebîlürreşad, kapatılmasından 50 yıl sonra yeniden okuyucuyla buluşmuştu.
1908 ağustosunda Mehmet Âkif Ersoy'un desteği ile Eşref Edib Fergan başyazarlığında Sırat-ı Müstakim adıyla çıkarılmaya başlanan dergi, 1912'de 'dosdoğru yol' anlamına gelen Sebilürreşad ismiyle yola devam etmişti. Millî Mücadele yıllarında öncü yol oynayan dergidir.
Yusuf Akçura, Peyami Safa, Said Halim Paşa, Hasan Basri Çantay, Ahmet Hamdi Akseki, Yahya Kemal ve Nurettin Topçu gibi güçlü isimlerin yazılarının yayımlandığı dergi, 1007. sayı ve 40. ciltle okuyucuya veda etmişti. Dergi 50 yıl sonra yayın hayatına 1008'nci sayı 41'nci ciltle devam ediyor.
Başyazarlığını Mehmet Akif Ersoy'un üstlendiği dergide, Ersoy'un başyapıtlarından olan İstiklal Marşı ile Safahat'ın tamamına yakını okuyucuyla buluşmuştu.
Sebîlürreşad 50 yıl aradan sonra 14 Ağustos 2016 tarihi ile yeniden Ankara merkezli olarak gazeteci-yazar kıymetli büyüğüm Fatih Bayhan'ın öncülüğünde yayım hayatına tekrar başladı.
