Second Sight is in april 2008 opgericht door Andrea Wiegman en Jan Bletz. Zij hebben eerder (in 1997) ook het trendblad Eye opgericht en zijn jarenlang de drijvende krachten achter Eye geweest. Met Second Sight willen zij een droom waarmaken: een crossmediale trendcommunity waar vraag naar informatie over trends en de aanbieders van deze informatie elkaar kunnen ontmoeten.
Second Sight bestaat uit een interactieve trendsite, een wekelijkse trendletter en een magazine aangevuld met events zoals de jaarlijkse TrendWatcher Of The Year (TWOTY) Awards.
'Free members', de trendletterabonnees, kunnen een profiel aan maken en informatie over trends delen. Betalende abonnees ontvangen ook nog het magazine over de post, hebben online toegang tot sommige interessante 'member only' artikelen en profiteren van de voordelen op boeken en events.
