SENovation Award zeichnet seit 2018 seniorenfreundliche Startups aus
Jung, kreativ und interessiert an Senioren: ein Widerspruch? Ganz und gar nicht, finden die Initiatoren des SENovation Award – dem ersten Gründerwettbewerb für Start-ups, die sich Produkten und Dienstleistungen für Ältere verschrieben haben. Denn in fast allen Konsumbereichen geben die über 65-Jährigen als wirtschaftlich stärkste Bevölkerungsgruppe den Ton an. Trotzdem wird dieser Zukunftsmarkt noch viel zu wenig bedient.
Diese Chance sollten sich Gründer nicht entgehen lassen. Initiatoren und Unterstützer des Wettbewerbs sind die Deutsche Seniorenliga e.V. und die SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe.
Der Wettbewerb richtet sich an junge, maximal drei Jahre alte Startups, die Angebote speziell für ältere Menschen entwickelt haben oder Ältere gezielt mit einer generationenübergreifenden Lösung ansprechen.
Auch Unternehmen in der Gründungsphase können sich mit einem schlüssigen Konzept für ein altersgerechtes Produkt oder einen entsprechenden Service bewerben.
Eine sechsköpfige Jury mit Experten aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Seniorenvertretung wählt zwei Gewinner aus, die mit einem Preisgeld von je 5.000 EUR ausgezeichnet werden. Ferner erhalten beide individuelle Unterstützung bei der Weiterentwicklung ihrer Geschäftsidee.
Mona Neubaur, Ministerin für Wirtschaft, Industrie, Klimaschutz und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen ist Schirmfrau des SENovation-Award.
