Tijdens het schooljaar 2014-2015 kreeg de werkgroep Identiteit de opdracht het pedagogisch project op te frissen en te actualiseren. Het resultaat van dit denkproces is een tekst die op een kernachtige manier de eigenheid en de visie van SFI samenvat en ook een nieuwe slogan:
'SFI: vleugels voor jouw talent!'
'Vanuit de inspirerende figuur van Sint-Franciscus laten wij ons vandaag uitdagen om elke jongere vleugels te geven waarmee hij/zij de weg naar de toekomst vol vertrouwen kan inslaan.
Met zorg en warme aandacht zoeken we samen naar de unieke weg van elke leerling en wij blijven hen hierbij motiveren en stimuleren. Daarbij bieden we uitdagend en vernieuwend onderwijs aan.
Op een professionele en deskundige manier begeleiden wij onze leerlingen in de ontplooiing van al hun talenten.
Creativiteit en dynamiek zijn hierbij onze grondhoudingen.
Wij willen elkaar ‘vleugels’ geven en zo ‘goesting’ doorgeven om samen te leven en te leren. We zetten hiervoor in op engagement en teamspirit.

In het schooljaar 2015-2016 zullen wij samen met alle schoolparticipanten deze visietekst verder inhoudelijk onderbouwen.
SFI, een katholieke (dialoog)school
Als katholieke school onderschrijven wij ook de opdrachtverklaring van het Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen.
De integrale tekst hiervan is beschikbaar op de website van het 'Katholiek onderwijs Vlaanderen' (vroeger: Vlaams Secretariaat van het Katholiek Onderwijs’).
Ons pedagogisch project sluit volledig aan bij het model van de katholieke dialoogschool dat door het KOV is uitgewerkt.
