We are a social and cultural club that promotes an engaging university experience.💕 西門菲莎大學台灣學生會(SFUTA)，成立於1989年，為第一個進駐西門菲莎大學(SFU)的華人社團，陪伴了上千位溫哥華的台灣學子走過了31年的時光。SFUTA以 Experience Life為成立宗旨，提供一個互動的平台，讓各個學員交流不同領域的知識與經驗；在今天，SFUTA經過31年時光的洗禮，漸漸的以更多元的方向去發展，希望將每一分小力量集結起來，了解台灣文化，以台灣精神出發。 在SFUTA，Experience Life意旨用心體驗當下，用心觀察，並身體力行去實踐自我理想。當大學生活把你的人生旅途換上全新的風貌時，SFUTA是一個捷徑帶你去瞭解這一個全新的領域：你會發覺「朋友」一詞被賦予新的定義，一成不變的的校園生活煥然一新，與人脈資源拿捏力度的重要性等等。或許你會喜歡這些改變，但你也有可能覺得厭惡，不過這些改變卻將領導你去發現你人生中最重要的一件事：你與這個世界的未來，已經被掌握在你手裡了。 在2020年，TA社團以改革為號召，SFUTA朝著更多元化的方向發展，利用義工、學術、聯誼等活動，找回遺失中的台灣特質，進而用個人能力改變社會。TA將有別以往以純聯誼的活動聚集學員，而以新的目標找尋台灣失去的身分認同感前進。 近日，「草根性」一詞成為了台灣特質的代表，意旨台灣人勤儉耐勞的個性有如小草般不易被打擊受挫的韌度。SFUTA試著找回遺失中的草根性與台灣人情味，藉由多元的學術、聯誼活動，或是小型的研討會，讓學員們能夠實際與社會互動，用台灣心體驗世界。 在新的2020年，TA以「探索心世界」為主要主題繼續努力；。TA相信，在每個人心中最角落的地方，藏著最初的夢想，最真誠的自己，而我們將一起去發掘它，一起實踐這個夢想。TA不只是一個聯誼社團，但也不是一個純學術性的社團，台灣學生會是一群愛台灣的學生聚集的地方，一起尋找自己，探索世界，一同為自我理想努力的社交團體。 台灣雖小，但是心卻無比寬廣，TA將用新的理念，新的目標繼續經營下去，讓每個人創造出屬於自己，同時也屬於世界的心靈財富。 現在是時候加入TA了。 SFUTA，一個聚集了來自台灣和世界各地不同領域的幹部和會員的大學社團，對未來的幢景與想法沒有限制地裝下了一整個世界。讓我們一起來吧！ 從台灣出發，改變世界，改變未來。
