১৯৬৭ সালের ১ জানুয়ারি হযরত শাহ্ মখদুম (র.) এর পূণ্য স্মৃতিবিজড়িত পদ্মাবিধৌত রাজশাহীর ঘনবসতিপূর্ণ সিরোইল মহল্লায় সিরোইল সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় যাত্রা শুরু করে। বাংলাদেশে হাতে গোনা যে কয়টি সরকারি মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় জন্মলগ্ন থেকে সরকারি, তাদের মধ্যে সিরোইল সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় অন্যতম। এ বিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা প্রধান শিক্ষক ছিলেন মরহুম জনাব রিয়াজ উদ্দীন আহম্মদ।এলাকার শিক্ষানুরাগীদের কাছ থেকে জানা যায়, বিদ্যালয়টি রাজশাহীর অন্য এলাকায় স্থাপনের কথা ছিল। কিন্তু সিরোইলের স্বনামধন্য ব্যক্তিত্ব পরবর্তীকালে রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে উপাচার্য জনাব প্রফেসর ড. মুসলেম হুদা এবং স্থানীয় শিক্ষানুরাগীদের ঐকান্তিক প্রচেষ্টায় ও আর্থিক ত্যাগ স্বীকারে সিরোইল সরকারি বিদ্যালয়টি এ এলাকায় স্থাপিত হয়।শৈশব, কৈশোর ও যৌবন পেরিয়ে নানা ডালপালা ছড়িয়ে বিদ্যালয়টি বর্তমানে এক বিশাল মহীরুহে পরিণত হয়েছে। এ বিদ্যালয় থেকে পাশ করে গেছে ৪০ এর বেশি ব্যাচের ছাত্র যাঁরা বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয়, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, কলেজসহ বিভিন্ন সরকারি/বেসরকারি অফিস আদালতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদে কর্মরত আছেন এবং নিজ নিজ ক্ষেত্রে মেধা ও দক্ষতার পরিচয় দিয়ে দেশ ও জাতিকে সমৃদ্ধ করে যাচ্ছেন।
