Vanaf juni 2021 start in Leeuwarden het project Shkorey. Samen met Eritrese jongeren en cultural mediators ontwikkelen wij een serious game rondom Zwangerschap en Jong ouderschap. In een op maat gemaakte digitale spelomgeving krijgen Eritrese nieuwkomers toegang tot kennis en informatie over onderwerpen als relaties, seksualiteit, zwangerschap, geboortezorg en het opvoeden van jonge kinderen in Nederland. In het spel kan, naast kennisoverdracht in een edutainment-jasje, in een veilige omgeving geëxperimenteerd worden met verschillende gedragskeuzes. Ook worden gebruikers vanuit de app op laagdrempelige wijze toe geleid naar lokale zorg- en dienstverleners en andere relevante bronnen van informatie. De inhoud en vormgeving van het spel worden ontwikkeld in samenwerking met doelgroep participanten en met professionals uit o.a. de geboortezorg en beleidsmakers. Er wordt aangesloten bij de lokale en regionale aanpak Kansrijke Start en Nu Niet Zwanger.
Door middel van o.a. het spel en de website worden professionals ondersteund om meer cultuur-sensitieve zorg en ondersteuning te kunnen bieden aan Eritrese nieuwkomers op het gebied van seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid.
Via een interactief en dynamisch monitoringsboard, waar naast data uit het spel ook informatie over relevante omgevingsfactoren in terug te vinden is, wordt de effectiviteit en impact van Shkorey onderzocht en bijgestuurd.
