We live in an unjust world, a world where the very definition of peace is corrupted. The emphasis on political and economic sectors have led to conflicts being closely tied to governmental matters. In the developing world, where state authorities often tend to extensively exercise their power, particular importance should be given to social sector, a sector that speaks for people’s needs.

Our research has shown that present peace indicators do not allow for local authorities to properly identify areas for potential conflicts because they do not produce household surveys for each area.
We are, Silent Conflicts, a platform to communicate priorities of local communities to local NGOS. The Social Peace Indicator we are developing emphasizes the importance of uncorrupted information and the need for transparency in our world. We will produce a questionnaire incorporating five areas of research: health, knowledge, standard of living, government transparency, and human rights violation.
Information that is shared and communicated is the currency of the 21st century. With your help, together we will make these silent conflicts heard.
