The Swiss Korean Architecture Association aims to create a dialogue between the actors of architecture and urbanism between Switzerland and Korea by establishing strong exchanges, debates, knowledge sharing and innovation through our annual program. This program includes special events, exhibitions, publications and hybrid conferences – all open to architectural professionals, students and to the public.
Since the emergence of a growing interest in Korean architecture in Europe and the participation of international architects in Korean projects, more and more architects are interested in creating sustainable exchanges over both countries to share practices and visions. We think young offices and collective practices should be able to express themselves through lectures and seminars, and our platform offers this possibility. By making a program embracing them we hope to create a new dynamic which can lead to open discussions about our profession’s position in society and environmental issues.
We believe in an association for strengthening both Korea and Switzerland architecture culture while expanding our mutual diplomatic friendships. We believe in debating over current society and environmental issues through the prism of architecture and urbanism in a large scale. We believe in sharing experiences and approaches to go further and move forward.
