Education Software for Martial Art, Yoga, Pilates, and Home Schooling. Our ancestors learned skills and to recognize patterns in order to survive and thrive. Current education is not geared around skills and patterns, it is geared around courses, which, in alignment with education’s industrial age roots, is convenient for schools and administrators, but not at all in alignment with our brain’s natural inclinations toward skill building and pattern recognition. SkillShape is a system that: Reduces Subjects and Courses into Skills and Patterns, Allows for easy continuous evaluation of a student’s grasp of the skill or pattern, and Opens up the possibility of different learning methods to ensure the grasp of a skill or pattern. Reducing education to skills and patterns has the potential to trim unnecessary material and strengthen the core and value of any curriculum. Also, by loosening the rigidity of Course, Subject, and Sequence in education, SkillShape allows for a fluid approach to education while ensuring that competency in all subjects is attained. This fluid approach creates an “Asynchronous Learning Environment” where students at different levels can all find value in the same class. The system will have a form of artificial intelligence that can facilitate a group learning environment with teachers and evaluations by suggesting daily curriculum based on who shows up. In SkillShape, students are able to see the entire list of skills and can become more self-directed in ensuring that they cover all competencies.
